SPARK Field Day 2007

Hello everyone,

SPARK's ARRL Field Day 2007 is just 15 days away, being held again at Seamans Airport in Factoryville on Saturday and Sunday,
June 23-24. We will operate at the same location on the airport that we have used since 2004, which is shown below in the
mid-right side of this aerial photograph of the airport. This photograph is looking toward the west-southwest, and from left
to right are the hangars, the southeastern taxiway, the airplanes tied down outside, paved runway 4-22, the northwestern taxiway,
the woods, and the opening (a "V") in the woods where we operate Field Day.

SPARK's ARRL Field Day 2007 will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and end at about 3 p.m. on Sunday. We will coordinate with the
Scranton chapter of the American Red Cross as we have the past few years. There will be plenty of food, soft drinks, and water
for everyone. Feel free to bring anything you wish to eat or drink yourself, or that you wish to contribute to the food table,
but remember that all alcohol is prohibited at Field Day.

Overnight camping in our area of the airport is permitted. Restrooms at the airport office will be available for our use.

Anyone unfamiliar with the airport layout should first stop at the airport office for directions and instructions. We are guests
of the airport, and as such we must respect that aircraft that land and taxi always have priority and right of way. If you are
unsure of what you are doing or where you are going at the airport, ask someone. Everyone at an airport is helpful.

Talk-in is on the SPARK K3CSG repeater of 146.34/.94 MHz. The telephone number of the airport is 945-5125.

The SPARK June meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19. At this meeting, we will finalize preparations for Field Day.
Scott Petty, KA3QLF, will give us advice and tips on Field Day operating while having fun at the same time. Please try to
attend the meeting.

More information about Field Day will follow.
